USPTO Releases Annual List of Top 10 Organizations Receiving Most U.S. Patents

American Innovation Continues to Top the Field

The Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced today the 2005 top 10 global private sector patent recipients. Heading the list is IBM but 6 out of the 10 companies on the list are non-US companies Canon, Matsushita, Samsung, Hitachi, Toshiba, and Fujitsu.
