Creative Commons v3.0 Launched

The latest version of the Creative Commons licenses Version 3.0 are now available. Notable changes are Separating the “generic” from the US license, Harmonizing the treatment of moral rights & collecting society royalties, No Endorsement Language, BY-SA — Compatibility Structure Now Included and Clarifications Negotiated With Debian & MIT.

Camino 1.1 Beta is a preview release of what will become Camino 1.1. Camino 1.1 Beta may be unstable and may not be suitable for day-to-day use. Please download Camino 1.0.3 if you wish to use the stable version of Camino.

Third KDE4 Developer Snapshot available.

The KDE Project released the third KDE 4 developers snapshot "Kludge". This 3.80.3 release includes source from all the KDE modules. This release builds with Qt 4.2.1.

Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.2 and 1.5.0.10 Released

Firefox 1.5.0.10 and Firefox 2.0.0.2 are now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux for free download from getfirefox.com. This is a security and stability update for Firefox 2 and 1.5. Tollef Fog Heen has announced the fourth alpha release of Ubuntu 7.04, code name "Feisty Fawn".
Herd 4 is the fourth in a series of milestone CD images that will be

X11 R7.2 Released

X.Org community releases X11R7.2
The X.Org community is proud to announce the release of X11R7.2, the third modular release of the X Window System.

X11R7.2 supports Linux, BSD, Solaris, Microsoft Windows and GNU Hurd systems. It incorporates significant stability and correctness fixes, including improved autoconfiguration heuristics, enhanced support for GL-based compositing managers such as Compiz and Beryl, and improved support for PCI systems with multiple domains. It also incorporates the new, more extensible XACE security policy framework. [Link]

Gran Paradiso Alpha 2 Released

Gran Paradiso Alpha 2 now available for download for Microsoft Windows 2000 or later, MacOS X 10.3.9 or later, and Linux. Gran Paradiso Alpha 2 is an early developer milestone for the next generation of Mozilla’s layout engine, Gecko 1.9.
