F-14 Tomcat retires

My favorite Navy fighter the F-14 Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, variable geometry wing aircraft and the Navy's primary air superiority fighter and tactical reconnaissance aircraft is now officially retired.
The F-14 Tomcat, the dogfighting Cold War fighter jet immortalized in the movie "Top Gun," made its ceremonial final flight Friday in a display that suggested the timing was right for retirement. [Link]
