The quest to save the world’s largest CRT TV from destruction.

This is an incredible story! Shank Mods, a retro gaming enthusiast and console modder, embarked on a mission to save the world's largest CRT TV, the Sony Trinitron KX-45ED1 (PVM-4300), from being destroyed. This 43-inch behemoth, weighing 440 pounds, was found in an Osaka noodle restaurant that was about to be demolished. Shank Mods managed to coordinate a rescue operation with the help of local contacts and sponsors, ensuring the TV was safely transported to his garage in the US. The TV is now preserved and functional.

Watch the full and very entertaining video—the massive TV removal, warehousing, packing, and shipping and calibrating to its specs. Enjoy...
