My Road to Linux...

I started my interest in Linux after bought my first desktop computer wayback 1997. It started on, when instead of using Internet Explorer as my browser, I installed Netscape Communicator which was popular on that time. Since open source is the talk of the town, I came a cross about RedHat linux in the popular website Slashdot, and then I bought a book about linux with a RedHat 5.2 cd with it. I played with it from installing together with windows (dual boot). How many times, I have to format my hard disk just to install it. I tried other distro of linux like Mandrake linux, windows XP and Win 2000 and BEOS.

With 40 gig of hard disk, I have 6 OS consisting of 3 linux partitions RedHat 8, Mandrake 9, an experimental partition (linux, FreeBSD, OS/2, and Solaris) 2 Windows (Windows XP and Win 2000) and 1 BEOS(BEOS Max Edition). For my boot manager, I use "bootman" which is the boot manager of BEOS. I like this boot manger coz it is simple and easy to configure, but you have to install BEOS to use this feature. This is how I was able to install, configure, use and try different OS for my hands-on experience. The layout of my partition is below. That It..😍
